Umm...Yeah

Here is my disclaimer: For a long time, I have admired Andy Rooney's writing. I grew up in used book stores, and purchased and enjoyed several of his paperbacks.

Here is my blog entry: Mr. Rooney has officially lost it.

Definitely a generation gap. You'll understand it when you get over 60. I see lots of similarities in his comments. As George Burns admitted in Oh God. He made avocado pit too big. And the word "herbs" why do they pronounce it "erbs". Makes no sense. The english language is sometimes very confusing to me. You know my famous, "If tin whistles are made out of tin, what are bubbles made out of." Pure gibberish. Keep up your writing so some day you can explain those things to me. Or maybe I will never understand :-) Maybe reading would help???? Nah, not going to happen.

I have to politely disagree. Mr. Rooney isn't simply older. This is a man who's made a career of communication, and he's no longer comprehensible. Sad.

I was unpacking some of my old books today and smiled when I saw that one of them was Andy Rooney's "Pieces of My Mind." Maybe I'll spend some time with it after lunch, as I think of it as an old friend.
